UNSW Campus
The main UNSW campus is located on a 38-hectare site at Kensington, seven kilometres from the centre of Sydney. Other major campuses are Art & Design in Paddington and UNSW Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy.
UNSW Library
UNSW Library peers down from above the campus
UNSW Library is one of Australia's major research libraries, with extensive scholarly information resources. It serves a large population of academic staff and students on two campuses and affiliated research institutes. The UNSW Library is a key icon of the eastern suburbs and can be clearly seen from many kilometres away. The Main Library and the Law Library are another great option for some focused quiet study when residents feel like a change of scene.

UNSW Security
UNSW is a safe place to live and study. UNSW Security Services has a comprehensive 24 hour security presence on campus and maintains security monitoring services for the University, for the protection of all people within the University including staff, students, contractors and visitors; for the protection of property; and for the prevention and detection of crime.
As for any major urban centre, students should take sensible precautions:
- Be alert when getting around at night on and off campus. Use Friend Walk on the StaySafe app for someone to watch you as you walk to your destination.
- Always keep an eye on your belongings. Thieves only need a moment to take your valuables.
- Should your bag or wallet be snatched, cancel your credit cards, Eftpos card and student or staff identification card and report it to UNSW Security and the NSW Police.
The highly visible Campus Security office is located at Gate 2, open 24/7.

UNSW Medical Centre
UNSW are there to provide a quality health service to the students, staff & visitors of UNSW. The doctors, nurses and administration staff are non-judgemental and have a special interest in youth health. The University Health Service at Kensington campus is a medical clinic with male and female doctors, nurses, visiting psychiatrists and an orthopaedic surgeon. General practitioners and specialists operate their own practice within the facility, which is managed by UNSW. The doctors work closely with the campus counselling service, student services, accommodation providers, equity and diversity unit and international student office for students in crisis or with special needs.

UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre
UNSW offers a variety of sporting facilities, including the UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre and The David Phillips Sports Fields, as well as the opportunities to play competitive and social sport.
The UNSW Fitness & Aquatic Centre provides students discounted membership to a range of facilities and services such as: Health Club, weights area, heated pool, group fitness classes, swimming lessons, indoor futsal and squash court hire.
