New College The Crucible 2019 play

Theatrical Productions

The New College Communities celebrate the theatrical talents of their residents both on and off stage, and provide opportunities for newcomers to try their hand at new skills.

Plays

New College has staged a major dramatic production almost every year since 1989. The New College play is entirely student directed, produced and acted. They are amazing shows, with dedicated tech, costume, props, make-up, set, backstage, front of house and publicity teams. Residents have performed all manner of plays: serious, comedic, classic and modern.

Revues

Every year since 1970, New Collegians have written, directed, produced and performed in a completely original Revue. It is the longest running annual revue at UNSW. New College Revues offer an amusing and satirical look at the the key events and personalities of the year both in College and in wider society. These shows are a diverse collection of skits, longer dramatic items, musical performances, dances and original short films. In addition to the on-stage performers, the New College Revue needs plenty of residents for tech, backstage, set design, make-up, front of house, publicity, band direction, choreography, script writing and more.
